Pauline Holdstock's novel Beyond Measure was shortlisted for the 2004 Giller Prize!

We are absolutely thrilled that Pauline Holdstock was shortlisted the 2004 Giller Prize. Selected by an esteemed jury panel, comprised of authors Charlotte Gray, Alistair MacLeod and M.G. Vassanji, the six finalists were chosen from 94 books submitted for consideration. Those books were submitted by 35 publishers from every region of the country.

Pauline Holdstock is the author of many short stories, essays and anthologies. She was selected as a finalist for the Books In Canada First Novel Award in 1988 for The Blackbird's Song (Simon & Pierre Publishing Co.) and in 2002 was awarded first place for fiction by the Federation of BC Writers. Beyond Measure is her sixth novel.

Pauline Holdstock was born in England and moved to Vancouver in 1974. She now lives on Vancouver Island.
