Gerald Lynch is the author of Troutstream (Random House, 1995) and two collections of short stories (Kishey, 1992; One's Company, 1989), as well as several books of criticism. He has been the recipient of many awards for his writing, including the gold award for fiction in Canada's National Magazine Awards. Born in Ireland, Gerald Lynch moved to Canada as a young child and grew up in Sarnia, Ontario. With his wife and three children, he lives in Ottawa, where he teaches English at the University of Ottawa.
