Zoe Whittall

Zoe Whittall is a poet and author based out of Toronto. She has been called “… the cockiest, brashest, funniest, toughest, most life-affirming, elegant, scruffy, no-holds-barred writer to emerge from Montreal since Mordecai Richler …” by The Globe and Mail, and the Best Emerging Author of 2007 by Now Magazine. Her first novel, Bottle Rocket Hearts, was a Globe and Mail Top 100 of 2007, and named a Best Book of the Year by Quill & Quire. She has published three books of poetry: The Best Ten Minutes of Your Life (2001), The Emily Valentine Poems (2006), and Precordial Thump (2008). She works as a freelance arts critic for a variety of Canadian magazines.
