Attention all mystery fans, thrill seekers, and suspense lovers!

Dave Hugelshaffer, author of the popular Porter Cassel Mysteries is coming to Toronto!

Appearing at Ben McNally’s bookstore  (366 Bay Street) on November 2nd, Dave will be signing copies of his books between 10 and 11:30am

Dave will also be at the following Indigo/Chapters stores:

  • Indigo Eaton Centre – Nov. 2nd (1pm-6pm)
  • Chapters (142 John street) – Nov. 2nd (6:30 pm to 9:30 pm)
  • Indigo Bayview Village – Nov. 3rd (1pm to 3pm)
  • Indigo (Square One, Mississauga) – Nov. 3rd (5pm to 8pm)
  • Indigo Manulife Centre – Nov. 4th 2012 (1pm to 3pm)

Born in Edmonton Alberta, Dave Hugelschaffer grew up on a small farm about forty miles north of the city. His first permanent posting as a Forest Ranger was in the remote community of Fort Chipewyan; a unique location, set amid icy lakes and rocky Canadian Shield (and the setting of Whiskey Creek, the third Porter Cassel book). It was during the long, dark winters that he started a family, and began to write.
3 successful novels later, Dave has solidified himself as a whodunit master, boasting sharp writing, keen descriptions and urgent plot lines.

In the latest instalment, Whiskey Creek, a serial arson investigation turns suspicious when a trapper is found dead in the burned remnants of his cabin.  The RCMP feel the trapper’s death was accidental but Fire Ranger Porter Cassel has reason to believe it was murder.

One Careless Moment finds Cassel in command of a fire in Montana canyon, rumoured by locals to be haunted.  A quick decision turns to tragedy when Cassel’s comrade is killed by the flames. Determined to settle the question of his guilt, Cassel conducts his own investigation

In Day Into Night, Forest Ranger Porter Cassel has more than just fires to contend with—he is a man with a tragedy in his past, and the situation becomes more complex when he is framed for the murder of a suspect.

A great opportunity to get your own copies signed, or pick up a few for yourself or for the mystery-lovers you know!
